WELCOME to my kitchen!
I need to be inspired for me to perform well in my kitchen; my inspiration is from seeing fruits. I always have a basket or bowl of fresh fruits on the kitchen counter to get me going.

And when I get going, I cut lemons and place it all around for a lovely fresh lemon smell. Then I use some of my favorite ingredients like tangerine, honey, carrots, basil, ginger, onions, sun-dried tomatoes, plantains, batata (sweet potatoes) and yautia (cocoyam) to whip up my recipes.

Additionally for me to maintain the tropical heat in the kitchen and beyond,
I love to steam, stir-fry, pan grill, charcoal or oven grill or just bake.

Tropical Ghana Kitchen Gadgets
Fruit Basket/ Bowl - A fruit basket or bowl with fruits definitely adds color and inspires in the Tropical Ghana Kitchen.

Wooden Spoons - The more the better because it helps me work faster. And it makes it easier not to use the same wooden spoon for confectionery for let's say tomato sauce. Wooden spoons also stir-fry well and do not scratch pots and pans.

Cutting Boards - The best way to enjoy the Tropical flavors well is to have four chopping boards - one for fruits, one for vegetables, another for sea food and the final one for meats and poultry.

Knives - A good collection of various sharp knives from small to big and from bread knife to chef knife is necessary. But be careful when handling sharp knives.

Other - Try to have multiples of measuring cups, spatulas, brushes, whisks, graters and my favorite stainless steel pots and pans. With multiples, your kitchen will be up to speed.

Blenders - Having two blenders is good. That way you have one solely for fruits and the other for other kitchen needs.

Food Processor - A big and a small food processor can help you complete tasks well in the Tropical Ghana Kitchen.

Wok - You need a wok to stir-fry and beyond.

Grilling pan - This is a good pan to have in your collection to add to your regular grill. Grill pan are not just good for their grilling marks but their great performance.

Pipping Tubes/ Bags - A pipping tube or bag with various tips comes very handy to add different finishing styles when garnishing.
