Pass the Pencil is a promo from Tropical Ghana Cookbooks that encourages anyone who gets a Tropical Ghana Delights promotional pencil to pass it on to another person. Register your name on the Pass the Pencil page on wwww.tropicalghanacookbooks.com to join the Pass the Pencil contest and read the clues. This contest rewards the person who is able to pass the pencil to the most people. And in passing the pencil, you tell the next person one thing you are going to consider to do to make a positive difference in a very small way around you by December 31, 2008.

How does it work
John Winner attends a Tropical Ghana Cookbook launch and gets hold of a pencil. When John gets home he sends an email to passthepencil@tropicalghanacooks.com to register for the contest and what he plans on doing to make a positive difference in a very small way by Deceember 31, 2008. John later receives a unique number from the Pass the Pencil contest. The unique number is what John gives out when he passes the pencil to his friend Janet Magic-Hands. John also tells Janet what he is thinking of doing by December 31, 2008 to make a positive difference in a very small way. Janet uses this unique number and visits the Pass the Pencil page on www.tropicalghanacookbooks.com and enters John's unique number in the contestant form and fills out what John's plans are for the year in making a positive difference. If Janet's message matches John's message of his plans then John receives 5 points. If Janets does not remember the message, she can enter the clue of the week from the Pass the Pencil page and Jonn gets 2 points for passing the pencil to Janet. Janet can now pass the pencil to Uncle Johnny. Uncle Johnny will then repeat the process just as Janet did, for John to receive 5 points or 2 points more. And John Winner can take home the grand prize if he gets the most points from his Pass the Pencil team.

Prizes
Grand Prize - Prizes include a signed copy of the upcoming Tropical Ghana Inspirations cookbook, a customized Tropical Ghana Chef's attire with all aceessories, a gift bag including a set of Tropical Ghana Chef's favorite kitchen tools and other items and private access to new Tropical Ghana Cookbooks recipes.
Second Prize - Prizes include a signed copy of the upcoming Tropical Ghana Inspirations cookbook and customized Tropical Ghana Chef kitchen towels.
Third Prize - a signed copy of the upcoming Tropical Ghana Inspirations cookbook.

Rules
1. No purchase is necessary to enter but a pencil must be picked from a Tropical Ghana Cookbooks event and the event mentioned in the contest registration email.

2. Contest entries must include your:
a. Name.
b. Event You Got the Pencil.
c. E-mail address.
d. Plan to make a positive difference in a very small way.

3. Immediate family members of Tropical Ghana Chef or any member of Tropical Ghana Cookbooks team are not eligible to win any prize.

4. By entering this contest, you acknowledge that you accept and will abide by these rules and regulations.

5. Chances of winning depend on the number of persons who pass the pencil and enter your unique number on Pass the Pencil page on www.tropicalccookbooks.com.

6. A winner is the person with highest points followed by the next higher points in the that order.

7. Winners agree to allow their names and photographs to be used for promotional purposes without compensation.

8. Winners will be notified by email and posted on www.tropicalghanacookbooks.com.

9. The prize is not redeemable in cash and must be accepted as awarded.

10. Contest ends December 31, 2008 at 11:59pm, CST.
