Tropical Ghana Spirit is showing love through giving
to others who are less fortunate in your community, the neighborhood you grew up in or a place of your
choice. In this case, it's showing love to my younger brothers and sisters in Ghana who are in school and need a helping hand.
Tropical Ghana Spirit Fund
I started the Tropical Ghana Spirit fund to help children in parts of Ghana to stay in school by assisting them in a very small way, that is by providing part of their feeding fees. Many kids who can enjoy free education still skip school and go in search of food and other needs. This does not only make then vulnerable but keep them away from their studies. How can we help to them stay in school? |

I was not born with a silver spoon
in my mouth, I have had my own share of challenges
in life. I always think of others,
especially those I saw while growing up in Ghana. Those
who had a very difficult time getting food on
their tables; how much more making ends meet? But I thank God for the gift of life and the strength that I can make a difference in a very small way.
I combined my dream to sustain an educational drive I started at Harper College, Illinois for educational supplies to children in Ghana with my cookbooks, and I have developed what is now known as the Tropical Ghana Spirit Fund. Therefore, I am supporting this fund mainly with part of the proceeds from my cookbooks. It is my prayer that the money will help provide food for less privileged children and keep them focused on the their education. As people enjoy recipes in my cookbooks, they are also encouraging a child in Ghana to stay in school by nourishing youth with meals.
"My challenge to you is to look around you and see if you can make a difference in a very small way. You do not have to be famous or rich but just embrace the idea that you are in a good place to affect another person's life positively, even talking to someone is very powerful or providing food can go a long way to initiate a solution to a problem. That is all we need, to be each other's keeper. "
God richly bless you,

My dream is that someday natives of different African countries will start their own Tropical Spirit fund so there can be for example, a Tropical Nigeria Spirit fund or a Tropical Uganda Spirit fund or a Tropical Ethiopian Spirit fund, just a way for
Africans to help themselves tackle problems by individually adopting a neighborhood.
